Phil Desselle

Hello, my name is Phil.  I was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Before I came to Teen Challenge I was living a life of sin.  I was a puppet for the devil.  Drugs had totally consumed me and all the relationships with the people I love.  I had become a different person.  I thought there was no hope for me and I remember thinking one morning, “Wow, this is what I have become…a drug addict.”  I thought that is what I was going to be.  I knew there had to be hope somewhere.  I was arrested and put in jail.  It allowed my mind to clear and I cried out to God.  I made the decision to come to Teen Challenge.  I no longer consider myself the black sheep of the family, or the outcast of society.  God has given me a new name and I am singing a new song.  Hallelujah!
