Brenham Campus Held a Ribbon Cutting and Open House on May 1st

Brenham Ribbon CuttingAs the city of Brenham was getting ready to launch their annual May Fest on Friday evening, May 1st, the Adult and Teen Challenge of Brenham began the festivities early on May 1st when they hosted an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony that morning on their campus at 1306 N. Park St. in Brenham.  Many members from the Brenham Chamber of Commerce and people in the community participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony.  Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas president, George Thomas, shared the vision of Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas and talked about the men’s third phase re-entry program in Brenham.  It was a great opportunity for the community to get to know Adult & Teen Challenge of Brenham.

After the ribbon cutting, there were fun activities and games for the whole family including: a bounce house, face-painting, and several children’s games.  There was also live music from volunteers in the community and from some of our Teen Challenge students.  It was a beautiful sunny day and everyone had a wonderful time.

THANK YOU!

Thank you to our proud supporter, Bush’s Chicken, for providing free chicken sandwiches the entire afternoon during this event. Also, thank you to all of the volunteers who helped  with the games and other activities.

Adult and Teen Challenge of Texas is a one year residential program providing youth, adults, and families with a comprehensive Christian faith-based solution to life-controlling addictions in order to become productive members of society.  The Adult & Teen Challenge of Brenham is under the umbrella of Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas, and is a transitional living facility serving adult men during their last 5 months of the final 3rd phase re-entry program.  The re-entry program aims to transition students back into society by assisting them in securing employment, learning and mastering responsible consumer budgeting skills, and further developing biblically based qualities, all of which are essential for maintaining sobriety and becoming the individual that God has called them to be.
